Sedimentary Rocks
This week we have been learning about sedimentary rocks, but they are hard to classify because all of the different origins of the various layers by many different means.
I found this one behind my house and was fascinated by the stripes and the fact that it had broken.
I found this in a pile of rocks that had broken off in sheets, similar to how shale breaks off.
Because of the different colored striations I would say that there is some sort of oxidation of the iron levels in different layers.
